About Neville's Parents

Another take on what happened to Neville's parents on the night they 
were attacked by DEs: 

I wouldn't be surprised if Snape was there with Lucius. This event 
happened after GH, and Lucius would have told Voldemort about it. 
Snape being there would be enough proof to Voldemort that Snape was 
still on his side and working from within Hogwarts.

I also see Snape as having a personal vendetta against Neville (much
along the lines of Harry) that reflects perhaps an equal dislike of
his parents. Perhaps, Neville will begin to remember some of the
events regarding his parents attack. I also feel that the reason why
Neville wasn't killed during that encounter was because Snape and
gang were afraid to curse him in case his mother also put the
protective charm on him that Lily used. Dumbledore stated to Harry
in OOTP that the prophecy could have been about him or Neville. It
wasn't until Voldemort attacked Harry that everyone realized who he
had chosen.

I could see Lily and Neville's mother both protecting their children
with the same charm. It's even possible that they were both friends.
(They were after all in the Order, and both expecting children
at the same time.) I will laugh out loud if Voldemort ends up using
the killing curse on Neville only to find out that he still has the
charm in place. This may be the "power the Dark Lord knows not"
(which technically is the power of a parent's love for their child.
Something that Voldemort has never known)." If Voldemort becomes
Vapormort again it may give Harry enough time to finally
vanquish Voldemort for good.
