I definitely found it significant that the ring had a crack that 
immediately reminded me of Harry's Scar.  I think there is definitely 
something in the idea of Harry as the final Horcrux.  

Perhaps this is why Dumbledore had that look of triumph when Harry told 
him of Voldemort using his blood in GoF.
