What about Harry's Soul?

I just wanted to possibly point out that, as alarming as it may be 
that Harry might be the last of Voldemort's Horcruxes, does that 
necessarily mean that Harry must die to destroy that sliver of 
Voldemort that resides within him?

After all, that is only a sliver of Voldemort's soul - but Harry has a 
complete soul of his own.  

Couldn't there be more than one way to remove a sliver of soul without 
the person dying to do it?  Even when a dementor performs the "kiss", 
thus removing the whole soul, the person continues to exist (horribly 
hollow, yes - but they continue to exist)  What if a person had more 
than one soul contained within?  Then what?
