I meant to add that, like zoe, HBP powerfully transported me back to
my teenage years and the discovery of romanctic love and physical
intimacy. I wasn't always at my most honorable and true-to-character
in those years. Similarly, I think it's youth that has our favorite
characters acting in ways we don't want to see them.
If you can rationalize OotP's whiny Anikin Harry as an adolescent
phase he was going through, it seems that it's even easier to believe
the events of HBP.
Though certain pairings and behavior might have annoyed me, the
shipping aspects o the book thoroughly reminded me of life as a teenager.
