Burke's first name is Caractacus. Borgin is never given a first name.
That's why if it's one of the two, it's Borgin. In the making of the
CoS movie, JKR wouldn't let them cut the Knockturn Alley scene due to
future importance. I suppose you could argue it was just a good
introduction for seeing more of it in book/movie 6, but I think it was
actually an introduction to a future important character. In the CoS
scene in the book, you see Borgin being polite and respectful to the
Malfoys while they are in the store, but making snide remarks once
they leave.
