Those weren't anvils.  That wasn't about how Harry or Hermione felt  about 
one another, but about how others perceived their relationship.  If  anything 
those are big hints that H/Hr would not get together.  Compare  your examples to 
Ron and Hermione's jealousy whenever the other is with someone  of the 
opposite sex.  How much more obvious could Rowling have been?
 
That being said one of the few things I disliked about this book was that  
Ron and Hermione were once again acting like they were in GOF.  The teenage  
sexual tension got on my nerves.  My hope for book 7 is that be done with  that.
