Two reasons: First, no matter who's guarding Azkaban now (I suppose 
it are Aurors) it is still on an island. It is really not that easy 
to escape from there. Second: It is IMO strongly implied in the book, 
that Malfoy and the others don't really want to escape. Dumbledore 
said, that they were safter there from Voldemort's wrath.
