I don't know, I can't possibly see Harry dying. We are forgetting,
despite the large number of adults that read these books, as
evidence by this site, this is still a KIDS book/series. Harry
dying would be the kind of stuff that leave scars on a child. I
know that people will say that DD dying would have the same effect,
but I'm not quite sure if thats true. DD was obviously liked, but
he's not the hero, the one that we all love. If you think about if
from Harry's stand point, DD had to die. As long as DD was alive,
Harry would never stand on his own two feet, the same way that Obi-
Won had to die, the same way that Gandalf had to appear to have
died. This mentors could only teach so much, and then they were
holding the students back because they were always there to protect
them.
