This just occurred to me. I'm sorry if it's already been brought up.
Voldemort's attempt to kill Harry rebounded on him because of Lily's
sacrificial love.
By sacrificing himself to save three people-Draco and Narcissa Malfoy
and Severus Snape (if that's what happened), Dumbledore has struck the
most powerful blow against Voldemort that he could possibly make. We
hear nothing more of Voldemort and the DEs at the end of book six, but
I will be surprised if we don't learn in book seven that Voldemort was
weakened by Dumbledore's sacrifice.
This, I think, is the strongest argument for the It-was-all-according-
to-plan theory.
