I think this is deliberate, one of many subtle clues JKR filled the book with.
This was discussed on the list sometime ago when Snape's birthday was revealed to be
January 9th, making him a Capricorn (a Saturn sign), same as Voldemort. Once again,
another subtle hint of the similarities/parallization between the three character (not
just Harry and Tom Riddle).
