I like this idea! Yes, it would explain DD's gleam very well.
Alternatively, it had occurred to me today that perhaps if Harry is a
Horcrux, he will experience something similar to the events at the
DoM: as Harry prepares to sacrifice himself out of love, that part of
LV's soul still within him flees, unable to coexist with the strong
emotion. This would pull in the idea of the power of love. I like
your idea better, though. :)
