Geoff:
My feeling on this question of the caster's death ending spells is 
that I wonder whether this applies only to spells cast on a 
particular person, i.e. ones such as Petrificus Totalus, Imperio etc. 
whereas a "general" spell such as that maintaining protective wards 
remains in place.
