I agree with Irene.  It's the difference between being a really good
cook who can recreate recipes perfectly and being a chef, who can
look in the pantry and fridge and make a new creation from scratch.

There's nothing wrong with being a really good cook and you can make
a good living at it.  But if you're a gittish chef, you might be
inclined to see it as second-best.
