JKR has told us--I think it was during the World Book Day interview--that Godric's Hollow is a 
village, so that would tend to rule that out.

Has anyone mentioned the Sorting Hat? That was Godric's, originally--though the idea of 
Riddle sitting in on the sortings for the last fifty years is a little icky.
