Maybe the DL it refers to is Grindelwald. His body may have been 
buried somewhere. Old bones appear to be powerful as LV demonstrated during his rebirthing.

If there is a graveyard near Hogwarts, Snape might be able to use 
them in a potion to help defeat LV.
