The difference is only the cover.  It is 'housed' in a more 'mature' 
fashion, the idea I guess being that grown-ups can buy the book without 
feeling like they're buying a 'kid's book'.

In all likelihood, you just have the 'regular' US editions.  The adult 
editions are UK, and are noticeably more formal and mature.
