I'm not saying that witches and wizards /can't/ have children much
later in life, only that it doesn't seem like this particular pair
did.
I would also think that the animosity between Arthur and Lucius Malfoy
indicates that the two of them are close in age (perhaps an animosity
carried on from school). We know that Lucius is in his 40s. I can't
see Arthur really seeing Lucius in such an antagonistic light if he
were 20 years older.
