I'vee been thinking maybe Snape isn't a vampire, but someone else is. 
I've only just begun a serious reread of the books and am only on SS, 
so I maybe later books will disprove my theory. But maybe Voldemort 
is the vampire. That would explain JKR's "Erm" and Prof. Quirrell's 
interest in vampires. And doesn't Voldemort operate at night?
