Dementor option would be out of the question; Voldemort is the 
Dementors' ally.

Frankly, I think Tom Riddle (NOT Voldemort) will somehow manage 
redemption, which is likely one of Dumbledore's goals. It would 
certainly get Voldemort taken down for good in the process.
