Fudge compares pretty well with Neville Chamberlain and the UK
Government - and a large chunk of Joe Public if you look back.
The country didn't want a war and felt that, if they continued giving
Hitler what he wanted, all would be well. Look at the reception he
got when he came back from Munich in 1938 with his infamous piece of
paper having given half of Czechoslovakia away.
This is Fudge precisely. If you pretend that Voldemort isn't there,
he'll go away.
