Well, I can see that argument, but I'm sorry to say I completely and
vehemently disagree with it.  To balance his own conscience on Harry's
pain would be a thoroughly indefensible move on Albus' part.  It may,
truthfully, be in character, but is certainly NOT the attitude of an
"epitome of Goodness."

Which, I think, is just to say that we need a LOT more information
from Rowling on these questions.
