Hummm..  I would be so shocked, but even so if we saw Merlin it 
would be great! Merlin was only half human. He got his magic from 
his father, and his mother was a nun. So they say.  JKR is always 
referring to him, the Order of Merlin for example.  But I would 
really be surprised if that is who the half blood prince is. I think 
it is Goddrick Griffindor and DD knows how to contact him.
