Sirius descirbes his brothers defection in less than glowing terms 
though. It's true that we don't know - and perhaps Sirius did not 
either, really - but we have no reason to think he didn't, and he 
retains a contempt for Regualus that does not really hint at a hidden 
moral spine to Reg.
