Well, Harry and Ron did come to save her from a Troll. Even if she
didn't think it was their intention to help her, help her they did. I
think saving your life overweighs getting your feelings hurt. Rowlings
explained it as a bond that can't help but appear when you face a
bloodthirsty troll together (no books on me, so I'm forced to
paraphrase) and it's good enough for me.
