I too thought it made sense as a nice career after the war, if he were 
to live.  At risk of souding cliche'd, I would mention again that 
author John Granger found Harry's (symbolic) position as Seeker among 
the clouds quite appropriate...  I can see how it would be too much to 
deal with if there's a war on, but it's just the sort of thing that 
would be perfect afterwards... if he retains interest.
