Well, his glasses could have as easily come from his father's side of 
the family.

A question about the eyes- does anyone know if JKR meant that Harry 
was BORN with his mother's eyes? I wonder if he didn't acquire them 
afterwords, in GH.

It seems so odd that after infancy has passed, so many people reflect 
on this, that his eyes are just like his mothers. (Ok, the father's 
hair is understandable... Molly can't comb it, for one thing, and it's 
a constant reminder of a ghost of the past, James. But it's not 
mentioned as strongly as the eyes.)

I have my mom's eyes but our friends and relatives don't gush over it 
every other month. Just sounds odd to me, like she's trying to drive 
the point home that he HAS his mother's eyes.
