I think both boys would have more normal childhoods, with Dudley
being not nearly as spoiled as he is and Harry being not nearly as
neglected.  Not to mention that Harry would have been hanging out
with Dudley's gang and might have been witness to bouts of
uncontrolled magic when Harry was quite young.

But then we wouldn't have had a series....
