Betsy:
I completely agree that Harry will *act* as a king (in the ancient or 
mythological meaning of the word), not actually become a literal 
king.  JKR has not put any signs of royalty in the WW (no reference to 
an actual noble class), so it would be awfully jarring if someone 
suddenly pulled a crown out of nowhere.  Which is why I strongly 
suspect the half-blood prince will either be an actual half-blood 
(meaning human + non-human) and the title comes from the non-human 
side of the family, or he's from a foreign land.  (If of course, the 
half-blood prince is an individual at all.)
