King Crimson!  Absolutely!  Personally, I've always connected  Snape with 
Emerson Lake & Palmer, as well - "Abaddon's Bolero", "Knife-Edge"  - though I 
suspect he's skip over "Benny the Bouncer"...& "Love Beach" would  make him sick 
up...
