I contend that Snape discontinuing
Harry's Occlumency lessons is in fact Snape's worst memory.
RE says:
My idea on "The Worst Memory" is that it is actually Harry's worst memory, not Snape's. Although it is not tecnically Harry's memory it is a memory and thus far, has been the worst one he has experienced about his parents. I realize that hearing his screaming mother while LV tries to kill Harry would seemingly be the worst, but from Harry's point of view, Snape's memeory challenges his very notion of who his parents are and their nature. Harry has bouyed himself since age 11 with the core belief that his parents were not just good, but great people. This memory shakes Harry to that core, hence the WORST memory for Harry.

presenting a much more straighforward read on that one! But I do so love the creative explanations offered up.
