Well I was raised with the belief that just because
that someone is acting like an ingrate and do little
to earn one's respect that doesn't mean you have to go
out of you way to lower yourself to their level. just
use a 'take it or leave it' attatude. Therefore just
because the Dursleys have done little to earn anyone's
respect in terms of the treatment of Harry vs. Dudley
dosen't neccessarily the rest of society turning on
'em
