Sirius' funeral...

I was wondering why we never have any sort or funeral or formal goodbye 
for Sirius.  I am not suggesting anything close to DD's service, but at 
least a small gathering at 12 Grimmauld Place.  I am a bit surprised 
that nothing ever really happens; Harry simply goes back home for the 
summer.   

Has this been discussed before on the list?  If so, could you please 
point me in the right direction.
