I can't see how they wouldn't be. Hermione went looking for R.A.B. 
and found Bungs and Axebanger, who are clearly dead ends, but came 
to her attention only because of their initials. If she was looking 
for R.A.S. or R.A.Z., like in the translations, people with the 
initials R.A.B. would be utterly ignored.
