What would you have Harry say instead "it could be me next, and if it is, I'm just gonna lay down and die"?

Harry is not saying "I'm going to kill as many Death Eaters as I 
can," he's saying "if it is me next - me who gets ambushed by a bunch 
of Death Eaters and faced with certain death, I am still going to 
fight the enemy." 

I am not up to speed on centuries of religious, ethical, and moral 
debate, so I can't comment intelligently on that. But I admit to 
being confused as to why it would be morally wrong to defend your 
own life, even if that does result in the loss of the life of your 
would-be murderer.
