I still can not understand why no one asked JKR what defines Dark 
Magic! I think your idea has merit, but would that make hexes Dark 
Magic? The spell Hermione used on any SNEAK was pretty bad and would 
have no good use. It seems like Dark Magic to me, but I don't think 
anyone else saw it that way.
