Hmmm.  Or perhaps the fact that she was threatened with dreadful 
consequences by the Order has something to do with it?  Amazing 
how well those threats work.  They probably would have worked 
earlier, too.  Which is yet another reason I think JKR is backing 
off the whole issue.

Still, Petunia does probably have some information to reveal.  But 
I wouldn't hold my breath for a change of character.  JKR herself 
has, after all, said "it's probably too late for Vernon and Petunia."
