Chys:

While that's possible that it wasn't really an AK, I don't see what 
everyone's making such a fuss for. Yes, it could have been something 
we've seen before in the books, something other than an AK but I tend 
to not believe that.

To me, it was just an AK and he fell off the tower. It was like slow-
motion because it was Harry seeing things and describing it in his 
perspective, the greenlight- the fall, all of it hitting him as such 
a powerful event because of it being SNAPE and DD, it seemed as if it 
was slow motion, as if he were suspended- but he wasn't, he was just 
falling backward.

I think it was simply dramatic effect.
