I think there are two possible reasons. First, not matter how
important or unimportant the other part of the prophecy is, Voldemort
does not know it. It is enough that he thinks it might be important.
And of course there's always the possibility that Trelawney will make
another prediction. And in this case, I guess Voldemorts wants to
have her with him.
