several dark curses?  I only counted the one - the semtaserpsa(or 
however it is spelled).  The other spells were not considered dark 
magic(levicorpus, etc) - but just plain old hexes & curses, which Fred 
& George have done quite a bit in the past(not the same ones, of 
course, but they were jokers).

For the most part, the book showed Snape in a positive light with his 
modifications to existing potions and making them more successful at 
creating them.
