  Jamie:
    Babies aren't necessarily born with their permanent eye color. It's 
perfectly normal for a baby born with brown eyes to change to green 
within a year or two.
    Also, the splitting of the soul is considered "against nature" 
according to Slughorn.  It may still be an awful thing even if done for 
noble reasons.  So, what if Lily did not split her soul for Harry, but 
instead the whole thing is inside him?  That must affect his 
appearance.  Plus, remember what JKR said about the POA movie 
foreshadowing things from the final two books?  Perhaps she shudderd 
slightly at the scene where Sirius tells Harry that his parents live on 
inside him.
