Luckdragon:
If DD was unsure of how long he would be away from the school, he
would have had the staff working in shifts. As Snape always seems to
be prowling around at night it would make sense that he would be
sleeping before his shift began, particularly knowing what was in the
works and that he would need to be alert on his guard duty.
