This is my first post and probably someone has already answered my 
question, but...in OoTP DD says of the eavesdropper that "My--our--one 
stroke of good fortune was that the eavesdropper was detected only a 
short way into the prophecy and thrown from the building."  In HBP, 
Trelawney describes the commotion outside the door regarding the same 
incident, "there was that rather uncouth barman standing with 
Snape,..."  According to DD, Snape was the one who gave the 
information about the prophecy to LV, who is the barman and what is 
his role, if any, or did I just miss it in one of the books?  Maybe 
it's a totally moot, undeveloped observation...But does it go anywhere?
