Standing around outside was not a smart thing to do at that time. There could be eavesdroppers in invisibility cloaks or otherwise invisible. Going into that broom shed, where there was barely room for the two of them, their conversation would be private. Besides, the full prophecy was never spoken in the shed so still no one else would know. Not even Ron and Hermione have been given the full prophecy. At this point in the war, anyone who knows the full prophecy would be at greater risk than even Molly's famous clock could tell.
