Perhaps he left something with Aberforth? Would anyone (Harry included) even think of looking for it in the Hog's Head?
I agree with both you and Kizor on this one - there's got to be some way of getting a whole bunch of information from Dumbledore to Harry in Book 7. Perhaps there's something in Dumbledore's last letter to Petunia?
