I have wondered about those things many times.  Why have Hermione tell 
the boys how interesting and useful Ancient Runes is (repeatedly) 
without ever showing us why?  Will Harry get stuck in a Pensieve when 
the original owner of the memory is not there to pull him out?  What 
disastrous event will occur while Harry is stuck in a memory of 
Dumbledore arriving too late at Godric's Hollow?
