Pat:
Isn't there something from one of the interviews where JKR says 
something about after Ron got his new wand that "all the elements 
were there between the three of them" (no, that's not an exact 
quote, just my memory of the interview) for something magical, 
power-wise?  I hope I haven't mangled this too much.  If I'm 
wrong, I'll go iron my ears - please straighten me out!

I, too, have wondered if all three of them won't be required to 
work together, at least in destroying the horcruxes, and possibly 
in the final battle with LV.
