Having heard this suggestion about Petunia before, the more it makes 
sense to me that she may be a witch overcompensating for this trait by 
trying to be an "ultra normal" muggle.  This could have happened for 
several reasons.  Maybe Petunia was hurt by magic, or overwhelmed by 
it, when she was young.  Maybe she hated seeing her sister use magic.  
Or maybe her aversion to magic is simply the result of sibling rivalry 
and trying to form an identity very separate from her sister's.
