Pippin:
Though Dumbledore's announcement is less than a day old,
Hermione has been checking the Daily Prophet and listening
to the other students for a week since Harrys' return from the
graveyard.

If she'd had her thinking cap on, she'd have realized that the WW
couldn't ignore LV's return unless he wanted them to.

Pippin:
We agree. The proper next move would have been a warning shot,
not a broadside amidships.
