  Except that he had the diary in his hands during CoS and never felt it as Voldemort. If the locket at Grimauld Place is a horcrux, he didn't feel it then either. Unless he fine tunes his Volde-senses I don't know if it will help him to find them. I do think it helps protect him to destroy them however. He has a lot to learn in book 7. Hopefully he'll be up to the challenge....
