I wouldn't rule out wand making for the last book. First of all,
Ollivander is gone. Why make a point of saying that if it's not
somehow significant? Second, in "After the Burial" Harry's use of
Felix Felicis results in the unlikely meeting of Slughorn and Hagrid.
In the course of the evening, Hagrid and Slughorn, blessed by the
virtue of the lucky potion, 1) discuss bowtruckle husbandry 2)
exchange unicorn hair (which is, as we know, a viable wand core).
Perhaps a wand for Hagrid is in the works?
